Dear Advisory Board committee, Executive committee, officers and members

As the new APSSLH President, I am delighted to join you on this mission.

I firmly believe that we will contribute to our collective work elevating educational development and creating meaningful and impactful experiences for the members of our society. Our values of collaboration and equity are centered on you and the ways each of you will help our network grow and improve. We still have much to learn about ourselves and hope that during these two years we can engage with each other in ways that are supportive, reflective, and respectful of our diverse backgrounds, views and professional identities.

Working together to perform all the duties to continue our association mission and develop it even further for our members and the association, it will be an important foundation in the development of the communication disorders profession to have a sustainable unity. However, we should have a balanced partnership between speech language pathologists and audiologists in order to promote studies, researches, and innovations in the communication disorder profession.

The changes around us whether social, political, technological, scientific, economic or otherwise require that we help each other by transferring experience or brainstorming the feasibility of creating short courses training or workshop to upskill the capability of the professional under the professional standards. Through cooperation from experts in the Asia Pacific region, it would help develop the potential of personnel accordingly. There must be a strong team working together to overcome all obstacles for the goal of success. It is necessary to be ready to adjust work strategies to be consistent with changes that occur all the time, especially the effects of disruption in the digital technology era.

Thank you, all members for your continued participation and enthusiasm in our professional society for your support and advice. We will move forward together!

Yours Faithfully,

Krisna Lertsukprasert, MA.(Com.Dis.), Dip.(Deaf Ed.)

Assoc. Prof. and Audiologist

APSSLH President (2024-2025)
